Substitution and account use

Wolt courier accounts in Finland are personal. Only the verified account holder can use their account to make deliveries.

*Disclaimer substitution rules change from 1 August 2026, when courier accounts become personal. The guidance below applies until then.

What this means for you

You only deliver on your own account

No action needed. You can continue delivering as usual once the change takes effect in your city.

Someone else also delivers on your account

Make sure they stop using your account before 1 August. Any account found to be shared after that date will be terminated.

You deliver using someone else's account

To keep earning on Wolt, you need your own courier partner account. You can no longer deliver on someone else's account after 1 August.

Why we are making this change

We are preparing for upcoming platform-work legislation and proposed changes to alcohol-delivery rules in Finland, and keeping the platform safe, accountable, and fair. Only verified partners delivering on their own account can operate on Wolt.

Who verifies

Only the account holder. Only the registered courier partner can complete the check.

Result

Reviewed in minutes. You'll get a notification once your verification is complete.
