Interviews and Stories

Courier Partner of the Month

We’re launching Courier of the Month to celebrate couriers who make a positive impact in their city. Each month, we’ll feature one courier and share a short story about their journey, why they were recognised, and a tip they’d like to pass on to others. The goal is simple: to say thank you, highlight great examples in our community, and recognise the everyday effort that goes into reliable, friendly, and safe deliveries. 💙

February

Elijah from Reykjavik

Delivering with Wolt for the past 1 year and 1 month, Elijah brings energy, care, and a positive attitude to every order.

💬 Make every delivery count.”

What he enjoys most about delivering with Wolt is the flexibility - being able to manage his own time and balance Wolt activity with other parts of life. Working independently means cruising through the city, vibing to good music, and owning the day at their own pace.

“Make every delivery count“

No two days are ever the same. New routes, new customers, and new experiences keep each shift interesting and adventurous. The small moments matter too - friendly chats with customers, hearing about their day, and knowing they’ve made a positive impact along the way.

There’s real satisfaction in delivering food safely and on time, and even more joy in discovering Reykjavik. Since starting, Elijah explored different neighbourhoods, uncovered new places, and experienced the city’s diverse beauty from a whole new perspective.

Szymek: ”Motivating myself as a Courier Partner”

First of all, I think that setting yourself goals goes a long way, for example at the beginning of each month I like to set myself goals I’d like to achieve at work. Those can be either the number of tasks I complete in a month or the money I earn. After you set that goal you should pick out a reward for yourself that you can work towards. Since I’m a bit of a foodie I like to reward myself with an evening at a restaurant so that’s what I’m usually working towards.

After becoming a student I aim to have my monthly earnings between 10 000DK and 12 000DKK monthly before tax, so I set myself little goals of earning 3000 DKK every week and then I divide that even further. On weekends I want to earn at least 700 DKK each day and then I divide the rest between two weekdays. That way I can easily stay on top of my budget and it makes my monthly income pretty predictable. After I reach that monthly goal, I reward myself by going out to a new restaurant that I often found by delivering from it!

Marius: ''Don't be lazy! Grab your bike''

I love cycling, I cycle a lot and often. One day I thought, why not make money from this hobby? I called the tax office, got a self-employed certificate and became a courier-partner at Wolt. It's been more than a year now.

Piret: ''Wolt allows you to do deliveries freely''

I have been a Wolt courier partner for a year now. It is a side activity for me! Mainly, I focus on my own company. I wanted to make the activity clear for me and also for my son (who is also a courier partner) so I could be there for him when he needed help. Within a year, I started to like this activity; sometimes, I am online at the same time as my son. My son is finishing his last year in high school!
