🔴 Arctic Race of Norway
Impact level: High Area: Vesterålen & Narvik region, Northern Norway (Evenes, Myre, Bø i Vesterålen, Andenes, Stokmarknes, Melbu, Sortland, and Narvik) Date: August 13–16, 2026 Time: Throughout each race day, with the highest impact during stage starts, finishes, and when the peloton passes through towns and along the race route.
Main impact: Arctic Race of Norway, the world's northernmost professional cycling stage race and part of the UCI ProSeries, takes place across Northern Norway over four days. The 2026 edition features stages from Evenes to Myre, Bø i Vesterålen to Andenes, Stokmarknes to Storheia (Melbu), and Sortland to Narvik. Temporary road closures, rolling traffic restrictions, and increased congestion are expected along the race route and in host towns, particularly around stage starts and finishes where spectators and event activities will be concentrated.
Recommendation: Expect temporary road closures and localized delays for pickups and deliveries in towns hosting the race and along the stage routes. Allow extra travel time, check your navigation for road closures before heading to pickup locations, and be prepared to take detours. Bikes may offer easier access in urban areas affected by race traffic, while drivers should follow instructions from traffic marshals and local authorities.
