Summary of the Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers Terms and Conditions

This is only a short summary of the Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers Terms and Conditions. In case of contradiction between this summary and the Terms and Conditions, the latter shall prevail.

The issuer of the Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers is Wolt Enterprises Israel Ltd. and its successors, assigns and transferees (“Wolt”). Wolt is exempt from license under the Regulation of Payment Services and Payment Initiation Law, 5783-2023, and therefore is not supervised by the Israel Securities Authority on the payment services provided by it, to which the exemption is applicable.

The amount accumulated in a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher may only be redeemed towards an eligible order placed on wolt.com or through the Wolt mobile app (“Wolt Platform”), from all the merchants available on the Wolt Platform from time to time.

The validity of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher shall be as described in its terms and will not be less than the following:

The validity of a Gift Card which is a “gift voucher” within the meaning of Section 14G to the Consumer Protection Law, 1981 (the “Consumer Protection Law”), shall not be less than two years from the date of issuance. Gift Cards can be purchased with the accumulated amounts specified here.
The validity of a Purchase Voucher (tav kniya), as defined in Section 14H to the Consumer Protection Law, shall not be less than five years from the date of issuance.

Wolt will act to recover the accumulated balance of a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher that was lost or stolen, at the request of a person who is seen by Wolt as the legal holder of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher, unless if it is unable, with reasonable efforts, to identify the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher of that applicant for the purpose of recovering the balance, and provided that there is an accumulated balance in the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher at the time the applicant applied.

The maximum value of a single Gift Card or Purchase Voucher is NIS 1,500. Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers cannot be recharged with accumulated value.

A purchase made on the Wolt Platform of a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher that was not used, may be cancelled within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with and subject to applicable law – by reaching out by chat to the Wolt customer service, by emailing support@wolt.co.il, or by registered mail to: 8 Ha’Melacha st., Tel Aviv-Yafo 6721508. It is clarified that only the user that paid for the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher may cancel its purchase. In the event of cancellation, Wolt may charge a cancellation fee at the rate of 5% of the price of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher or NIS 100, whichever is lower. Notwithstanding, for cancellations of the purchase of Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers purchased with a Cibus card, please contact Cibus directly, and such cancellations will be subject to Cibus cancellation policy. If a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher was purchased from a third party (such as consumer club), please contact the third party directly to cancel its purchase.

Except as stated in these Terms and Conditions, in any event that the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher was purchased and/or received not from Wolt, any claim or demand regarding the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher will be directed to the third party from which it was purchased and/or received, and Wolt shall not be responsible for such a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher.

Subject to applicable law, Wolt shall not be liable to anyone for any indirect, punitive, special, exemplary, incidental, consequential, or other damages of any type or kind in any way, in connection with Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers. Wolt shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which may be caused, including but not limited to loss connected in any way with Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers, even if Wolt and/or persons permitted by Wolt have been previously advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permissible by law, in the event that a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher is not functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, will be the replacement of that Gift Card or Purchase Voucher.

Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers Terms and Conditions

The following Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers Terms and Conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”) describe the terms and conditions that apply to use of the Wolt Gift Cards, which are “gift vouchers” within the meaning of Section 14G(d) to the Consumer Protection Law (the “Gift Cards”), and/or the Wolt Purchase Vouchers, which are “purchase voucher” (tav kniya), as defined in Section 14H(a) to the Consumer Protection Law (the “Purchase Vouchers”).

These Terms and Conditions apply between you, the holder of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher, as applicable, and Wolt. By purchasing, accepting, or using a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher, you agree to both these Terms and Conditions and the Wolt User Terms of Service (the “User Terms of Service”). If you do not agree, do not purchase, use, or accept the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher. Wolt is exempt from license under the Regulation of Payment Services and Payment Initiation Law, 5783-2023, and therefore is not supervised by the Israel Securities Authority on the payment services provided by it, to which the exemption is applicable.

Gift Cards can be purchased with the accumulated amounts specified here, and no additional payments will apply to them, other than their purchase price.

The Gift Cards and Purchase Vouchers are issued by Wolt, however, it may assign its obligations with respect to a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher at any time, in which case such assignee shall become the issuer and sole legal obligor to the holder of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher, as the case may be. Wolt Enterprises Oy and its subsidiaries and affiliates, except Wolt (the “Wolt Group Companies”), bear no responsibility or liability for any Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers, and you hereby knowingly release the Wolt Group Companies from any and all liability or claims of any nature whatsoever arising in connection with the Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers.

The amount accumulated in a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher may only be redeemed towards an eligible order placed on the Wolt Platform, from all the merchants available on the Wolt Platform from time to time. Wolt reserves the right to change the way of redeeming Gift Cards and/or Purchase Vouchers and/or limit and/or change the eligible orders that can be made using Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers, at its sole discretion.

The amount accumulated in a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher shall be redeemed uniformly with respect to all merchants from whom an order can be placed and a payment can be made with a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher.

The validity of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher shall be as described in its terms, and in any event, a Gift Cards will have a validity of no less than two years from the date of issuance, and a Purchase Voucher will have a validity of no less than five years from the date of issuance, in accordance with applicable law.

After it expires, the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher may no not be redeemed or used for placing an order. It is possible to approach Wolt with a request to renew the validity of an expired Gift Card or Purchase Voucher for an additional period of two or five years, as the case may be, in accordance with applicable law, by submitting a request to renew a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher by chat to the Wolt customer service or by email to support@wolt.co.il. Wolt reserves the right to deactivate, cancel or suspend Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers when Wolt suspects fraud, unlawful activity, or any violation of these Terms and Conditions or the User Terms of Service.

Gift Cards and/or Purchase Vouchers may not be returned and are not redeemable for cash, except when required by applicable law. Gift Cards and/or Purchase Vouchers may not be resold. Gift Card or Purchase Voucher amounts may not be increased or reloaded. If you are interested in making a purchase with a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher that has a balance that is less than the total purchase price, the difference must be paid using another instrument available in your account, including credit card.

Lost, damaged or stolen Gift Cards or Purchase Vouchers will not be replaced nor replenished. Wolt is not responsible for unauthorized Gift Card or Purchase Voucher use. Notwithstanding the above, Wolt will act to recover the accumulated balance of a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher that was lost or stolen, at the request of a person who is seen by Wolt as the legal holder of the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher, as applicable, unless if it is unable, with reasonable efforts, to identify the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher of that applicant for the purpose of recovering the balance, and provided that there is an accumulated balance in the Gift Card or Purchase Voucher at the time the applicant applied.

The maximum value for a single Gift Card or Purchase Voucher is NIS 1,500. Wolt reserves the right to block further redemptions should this threshold be exceeded. A Gift Card and a Purchase Voucher cannot be recharged with an accumulated amount.

SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, WOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANYONE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY TYPE OR KIND IN ANY WAY, IN CONNECTION WITH GIFT CARDS OR PURCHASE VOUCHERS. WOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY WHICH MAY BE CAUSED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH GIFT CARDS OR PURCHASE VOUCHERS, EVEN IF WOLT AND/OR PERSONS PERMITTED BY WOLT HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, IN THE EVENT THE A GIFT CARD OR PURCHASE VOUCHER IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT GIFT CARD OR PURCHASE VOUCHER, AS THE CASE MAY BE.

These Terms and Conditions will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel. The sole jurisdiction in any matter including with respect to disputes arising from these Terms of Service shall be resolved by the competent courts in Tel Aviv, which shall hear the matter in accordance with the laws of the state of Israel.

Wolt reserves the right to change these Gift Card Terms and Conditions from time to time in its discretion without special notice, unless such notice is required by law. Notice of changes will be by reasonable means, including by sending a message to the email address submitted to the Wolt Platform by you or by posting of the revised version of these Terms and Conditions on the Wolt Platform (“Updated Terms”). Your use of a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher after Wolt has posted the Updated Terms constitutes your agreement to the Updated Terms. The Updated Terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or such later date as may be specified in the Updated Terms and will apply to your use of a Gift Card or Purchase Voucher from that point forward. The date of the last update to these Terms and Conditions is indicated on this page, and any change in the date of these Terms and Conditions shall constitute notice to you that these Terms and Conditions have changed.
