🟡 Sigulda Mountain Marathon (Siguldas kalnu maratons)

Main impact: Sigulda Mountain Marathon is a major trail-running event and one of the most challenging mountain races in the Baltics. The event offers 10+ km, 35 km and 70 km distances, with the race centre, start and finish located at Svētku laukums in Sigulda. Most of the courses run on trails, dirt roads and off-road terrain within the Gauja National Park, rather than through central city streets. Increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic can therefore be expected around Svētku laukums and nearby access points in the morning and around finishing times, but widespread city-centre road closures are unlikely to be the main impact.

Recommendation: Deliveries in most of Sigulda should remain possible, but expect localized congestion around Svētku laukums and nearby recreational/trail areas, particularly before the 10:00 start and as participants finish. Allow some extra travel time for pickups and deliveries near the event area and be cautious of increased pedestrian activity. Overall, this should have a lower delivery impact than the Latvian Cyclists’ Unity Ride, as the marathon primarily uses off-road trails rather than public roads.
