Main impact: IRONMAN Tallinn is Estonia's largest triathlon event, attracting thousands of athletes and spectators from around the world. The competition centre is located on the Tallinn waterfront, while the swim takes place near the Seaplane Harbour, the cycling course runs through Harju County, and the marathon route passes through central Tallinn, finishing at Freedom Square (Vabaduse väljak). Expect extensive temporary road closures, traffic diversions, and increased pedestrian activity throughout central Tallinn and along the race routes, particularly on the main competition days. The event also includes IRONKIDS and the Sunset Run earlier in the festival weekend.

Recommendation: Expect significant delays for pickups and deliveries in central Tallinn and along the race routes, especially on August 22–23. Allow extra travel time, check your navigation for temporary road closures before heading to pickup locations, and be prepared to take detours. Bikes are recommended for easier access in affected areas, while drivers should follow official traffic diversions and avoid the race route where possible during competition hours.
