What is a point-of-sale (POS) system and integration?
Digital point-of-sale (also called POS) systems have revolutionized how small businesses operate. With POS systems, business owners can track sales, cash flow, and inventory in real-time. POS systems also streamline the ordering process in restaurants, bars, and other stores serving food and drinks.
An integration allows information to be safely shared between two or more technology systems. A POS integration creates a bridge for Wolt to send and retrieve information from your POS system so you can manage incoming orders and menu updates in one place. Wolt can be integrated with several leading POS providers, so that everything — menu data, ordering channels, and sales — is in one place, no matter where the order came from.
What is a middleware partner?
A middleware partner is a company or service provider that offers services and solutions to facilitate the communication between different software applications or systems. Middleware partners are the ones that provide the tools, platforms, or services needed to integrate various systems or applications. For small business owners, middleware partners will usually provide a service that integrates their payment gateways, inventory systems, order processing systems and customer data systems.
What do I need before starting the integration process?
Before you can start onboarding your store with one of our integration partners, you need three things:
An existing contract with Wolt
A store menu created through your POS or middleware provider
Your POS or middleware provider will help you confirm that your menu is ready for the Wolt integration.
How do I request a connection?

I’m an existing Wolt merchant
You’ll need to request an integration from your POS provider or middleware partner before you can receive orders through your POS. Here’s a list of our integrations and middleware partners that we integrate with. Contact their team directly to enable the POS integration with Wolt for you.
💡Hot tip: Check the Wolt partner catalog for a list of existing POS and middleware partners supported in your country.
What happens after I request an integration?
Once you’ve requested an integration, there are a few steps to follow.
Complete POS specific pre-work. This varies according to your POS or middleware provider, but might include updating your menu or store hours. Your provider will let you know specific details.
If your POS system or middleware partner supports updating / editing store hours and menu details directly from your POS system, you will need to approve your menu and store details. Please check with your POS or middleware partner for more details.
Activate your integration. You’ll be able to request your store’s activation through your provider. The activation process takes about 1-2 weeks.
You will receive a confirmation email once the Wolt integration process is complete. Then, you’ll be able to start receiving orders.
POS Integration FAQ
For new merchants: What happens to my existing orders and menus when I integrate with a POS system through the integration onboarding process?
Orders will flow directly to your in-store POS system and your menu will match the available offerings from this same resource.
Will my existing Wolt store settings and information be transferred to my POS system?
Yes, your store settings and info will stay the same. You’re only switching to an integrated menu that matches your POS and injecting your orders directly into that same system.
What happens to my Wolt login credentials after I integrate with a POS system?
Nothing will change with your Wolt login credentials. Your Wolt credentials are only required to connect your Marketplace store to your POS system. All integration processes will come from your POS account.
