Our mission is to make the cities we’re in better places to live - this includes building a company that is a great place to work as well as supporting the local communities. Check out some of our current projects below.

Making diversity, equity and inclusion a priority

We think that diverse teams make better decisions and build better products - and we welcome teammates of any age, gender, ability, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion. We also try our very best to ensure that everyone at Wolt can grow and thrive.

Wolt-wide, our workforce has roughly equal numbers of women and men, and we give a voice to all employees through our global employee resource groups (including Women@Wolt, the Rainbow Alliance and our DEI crew). In 2023, we hired a DEI leader to help take us to the next level, and we’re currently building a global DEI strategy to ensure that we include, support, and empower our teammates as part of our culture.

Ensuring wellbeing at work

Our people are the most valuable assets we have. That means they need to be happy and healthy, and most of all safe. It also means that at Wolt, Sustainability isn't just one person’s job, but for anyone who wants to be engaged in our journey. We've created lots of opportunities for our people to get involved through more than 30 planned initiatives and five sustainability pods - cross functional working groups each focussed on one of our 5 aspirations. Through our People team, we’ve built competitive total compensation packages for all of our current and future employees and we’ll continue to fine tune this as we grow. Supporting our local communities

Yes Wolt is a global company, yet we are a part of the local community in the 20+ countries we are in. Every year, our local teams support a variety of local charities with food donations or through customer donations on our app.  We also take a “shovels in the ground” attitude that gets us outside of the office and helping out - for example in Japan, we organized a cleaning effort with our local partners. Since 2016 we’ve partnered with more than 50 organizations to provide financial, in-kind and outreach support that all help to make cities better. As an example, last year, we took efforts to support the people in Ukraine.

Women @ Wolt

While women make up approximately 50% of our workforce, we know that experiences for women can be different than for men. Through our Women @ Wolt employee resource group, we’re helping women thrive by creating a flexible working environment that supports changes in your life like having a baby. The group - chaired by our GM for Japan - is creating a community where women can talk, coach, and guide each other, and is helping to strengthen internal awareness about potential gender biases.  

Being open and honest

Transparency with our customers, partners, and other people we touch means that we can learn from each other and get to our end goal faster.
