Wolt's User Terms of Service for Rides – Greece
These User Terms of Service for Rides (“Rides Terms of Service”) apply when you use Rides to book a taxi through the Wolt Service. Please read the following Rides Terms of Service carefully before you take your first Ride. By requesting a ride, you agree to these Rides Terms of Service.
Rides is offered through the same Wolt Service you may already use to order food, other goods and services. Rides is, however, a different service, offered by a different Wolt company, and these Rides Terms of Service apply explicitly to Rides.

2. Who we are
2.1 Rides is provided by Wolt Intermediary Solutions Greece Single Member P.C., a company registered in Greece under GEMI no. 195002101000, with its registered office at 80 Mihalakopoulou Street, P.O. 11528, Athens, Greece.
2.2 You can contact us at support@wolt.com or through the Support section of the Wolt Service.
2.3 Please note that while Rides is legally provided to you by your local Wolt entity, the payment service is arranged by Wolt Oy (a company registered in Finland under no. 2646674-9) through a third party payment service provider. This also means that Wolt Oy will assist you with possible refunds, complaints and other claims related to your transactions in the Wolt Service. You may thus contact Wolt Oy directly in case of any dispute or claim related to the Wolt Service with Wolt and the Fleet Partners or Drivers.
3. Description of Rides
3.1 Rides is a technology platform offering a ride-booking service. Through the Wolt Service, we connect you with Drivers who are affiliated with us directly or through a Fleet Partner. Wolt operates as a technology intermediary.
3.2 We do not provide taxi transport ourselves and we are not a taxi operator. The Driver or Fleet Partner who accepts your Ride is the one providing it, and is the seller of the transport service to you. When a Driver accepts your request, you enter into the Ride Agreement directly with that Driver or Fleet Partner. Wolt is not a party to the Ride Agreement.
4. Using Rides
4.1 You use Rides with the same Wolt account you use for ordering food, other goods and services in the Wolt Service. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account.
4.2 When you request a Ride, we pass your request to available Drivers in the area. A Driver's acceptance of your request confirms the Ride Agreement, as described in Section 3. We show you an estimated fare and arrival time before you book, but these are estimates only: the actual fare is set by the taximeter, as explained in Section 5.
4.3 We don't guarantee that a Driver will be available or that your Ride will be accepted. Availability depends on matching with Drivers in your area at the time.
5. Fares and payment
5.1 Your fare is calculated by the taximeter in the vehicle, in accordance with the Regulated Tariff. We do not set the taxi fare. Any statutory surcharge, for example, airport, luggage, night-time, pre-booking or waiting-time surcharge, is part of the Regulated Tariff, not a fee charged by us.
5.2 You can pay in the Wolt Service by card. To pay by card, you need a valid payment method on your Wolt account, kept up to date. Depending on the Driver, you may also be able to pay in cash directly to them. The Wolt Service will show you the payment options available for your specific Ride before you confirm the booking. If you pay by card, the amount charged once your Ride ends will match the Regulated Tariff shown on the taximeter, processed on the Driver's or Fleet Partner's behalf by a licensed payment service provider we work with. If a card payment fails, or you don't pay as agreed (including in cash), we may charge the Regulated Tariff to another payment method on your account, and suspend your access to Rides until the amount owed is paid.
5.3 When you book a Ride, we may place a temporary hold on your payment method for an estimated amount. Once your Ride ends, we release the hold and charge, or adjust the hold to, the actual amount shown on the taximeter.
5.4 However you pay, the Driver issues you a taximeter receipt for the Ride, as required by Greek law. We may also show a summary of your Ride and the amount paid in the Wolt Service, but the Driver's receipt is the official one.
5.5 Wolt may introduce separate clearly labelled platform, service or other fees for Rides. If we do, we will show any applicable fees to you as their own amounts to be charged by Wolt before you confirm your Ride.
6. Cancelling a Ride
6.1 You can cancel a Ride request for free at any time before a Driver accepts it.
6.2 Once a Driver has accepted your request, please try not to cancel, as the Driver may already be on their way. If cancellation after acceptance is available, and you cancel after acceptance, or if you're not at the pickup point and the Driver reasonably cannot reach you, a cancellation fee charged by Wolt may apply. We will always show you the applicable fee in the Wolt Service before you confirm the cancellation, and charge it using your registered payment method.
7. Promotions and discounts
7.1 From time to time, we may offer discounts, credits or promotional codes for using Rides. Where we do, the Driver still receives the full Regulated Tariff, and any discount is not deducted from what the Driver is paid. Specific terms may apply to individual promotions and will be shown to you in the Wolt Service when the promotion is offered.
7.2 Any promotional credits provided cannot be exchanged to cash, transferred or sold, and we may end or change any promotion at any time. The validity period of any credits you may have received is specified in the Wolt Service. Upon expiration, credits will be removed from your account. Expired credits are no longer redeemable and cannot be used towards any order. Wolt may unilaterally determine the conditions applicable to the granting, use and validity of any credits.
7.3 We may withhold or reclaim a promotional benefit if we reasonably believe it has been obtained through abuse or fraud. Credits will be nullified if Wolt detects any abuse of Wolt credits or suspects or detects that Wolt credits have been granted on incorrect grounds. In such cases, Wolt shall invoice the amount that was paid using such Wolt credits.
8. Ratings and conduct
8.1 After your Ride, you can rate the Ride, and the Driver can rate you. Ratings help maintain quality and safety on the platform. Please treat Drivers and Fleet Partners with courtesy and respect.
9. Your responsibilities
9.1 Please make sure the pickup location, destination and any other details you provide are accurate, and that you're ready at the pickup point at the agreed time. You're responsible for your own behaviour and belongings during a Ride, and for complying with applicable law (for example, wearing a seatbelt). The Driver and Fleet Partner are responsible for the roadworthiness, licensing, insurance and safe operation of the vehicle.
10. Our responsibility to you
10.1 Because we are a technology intermediary and not the transport provider, we are not liable for the safety, quality, legality or performance of the Ride itself, or for the acts or omissions of the Driver or Fleet Partner, including personal injury, death or property damage arising from the Ride. The Driver and Fleet Partner are solely responsible for the transport service, any shortcomings in the performance of the Ride Agreement and for holding the insurance required by Greek law.
10.2 We are not responsible for the accuracy of information about the Driver, Fleet Partner or vehicle shown in the Wolt Service (for example, name, photo or vehicle details), to the extent that such information is provided by the Driver or Fleet Partner.
10.3 We are liable for our own intentional misconduct or gross negligence in providing Rides and the Wolt Service. We will make reasonable efforts to keep Rides and the Wolt Service available and working properly, but we don't guarantee it will always be free of interruptions or errors.
10.4 Where something goes wrong with a Ride, we may, at our discretion, offer you compensation on behalf of the Driver or Fleet Partner. Doing so does not make us liable for the Ride, and does not affect any rights you separately have against the Driver or Fleet Partner.
10.5 Nothing in these Rides Terms of Service limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Greek law, which always take priority over anything in these Rides Terms of Service that conflicts with them.
11. Complaints
11.1 If something goes wrong, please contact us at support@wolt.com or through the Support section of the Wolt Service. We will do our best to resolve your complaint promptly, working with the relevant Driver or Fleet Partner where needed.
11.2 If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your complaint, you can bring the matter before the competent Greek courts, or contact an out-of-court consumer body, such as the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or your local Consumer Protection Committee.
12. Your data
12.1 The controllers of the personal data collected about you when using Rides are Wolt Intermediary Solutions Greece Single Member PC and Wolt Oy, as joint controllers. They process your personal data in accordance with the Wolt Privacy Statement (https://explore.wolt.com/en/grc/privacy), which sets out what each is responsible for and how you can exercise your rights.
13. Changes to these Rides Terms of Service
13.1 We may update these Rides Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how Rides works. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the Wolt Service or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Rides after a change takes effect, that means you accept the change. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using Rides.
14. Refusing bookings, or suspending or ending access
14.1 You can stop using Rides at any time. Wolt can discontinue providing Rides permanently or temporarily at any time.
14.2 We may refuse or cancel a specific booking, and/or warn, suspend or end your access to Rides, if: (a) you seriously or repeatedly breach these Rides Terms of Service, or otherwise misuse Rides, for example, by making a false booking, not paying for a Ride, or repeatedly not being at the pickup point; (b) we reasonably suspect fraud, or have reasonable doubt about the correctness or authenticity of a booking; (c) you engage in threatening, harassing, discriminatory (including racist or sexist) or other behaviour we reasonably consider inappropriate towards a Driver, a Fleet Partner or Wolt’s employees; (d) you cause harm or detriment to Rides, a Driver or a Fleet Partner; or (e) we're required to do so by a competent authority, or we discontinue Rides or the Wolt Service.
14.3 Where reasonably possible, we'll tell you why we've taken action under this Section. If we cancel a booking under this Section after you've already been charged for it, we'll refund the amount to the same payment method you used.
15. Applicable law and dispute resolution
15.1 These Rides Terms of Service are governed by Greek law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent Greek courts. If you are a consumer, you may always bring proceedings before the court of your place of residence in Greece, and mandatory consumer-protection rules of your place of residence continue to apply.
16. Assignment
16.1 Wolt may transfer any of its rights and obligations under these Rides Terms of Service to an affiliated company or a successor business. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Rides Terms of Service.
