Additional Terms and Conditions for Autonomous Deliveries
Welcome to read more about autonomous deliveries at Wolt. Here you will find more information regarding Wolt Orders that are brought to you by robots or drones. Please read the following Additional Terms and Conditions for Autonomous Deliveries carefully before using drone and/or robot delivery. If you do not agree with the Additional Terms and Conditions for Autonomous Deliveries, you cannot use the robot and/or drone deliveries. Our User Terms of Service will apply also to our autonomous deliveries, unless otherwise stated in this document. All the capitalised terms not defined on this page, have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
Drone Deliveries
General information
If drone deliveries are available in your area, you will get information on this on Wolt App, when placing an Order. In this case, the drone delivery has been preliminary selected as your delivery method, and you can opt out from the drone delivery by disabling the selection. Please check the instructions closely to make sure that the drone can deliver your order.
Please note that drone deliveries are always subject to availability. Even though the drone delivery has been chosen as the delivery method, the Order may be delivered by a Courier Partner. Drones have weight and volume restrictions (for example, heavy Orders are usually delivered by car or bike) and may be unavailable due to weather conditions or other reasons. You will see the delivery method on the Wolt App, once the Order is being delivered.
Once the drone delivery has been selected as your delivery method, it will be automatically saved and applied to your future Orders unless you disable it. This means that drone delivery eligible venues may deliver your future Orders by drones, unless you disable this option in your Wolt App settings.
Drone drop-off location
The drone drop-off location will be close to your delivery address, and it will be selected for you. The drone drop-off location needs to be a space free from tall obstacles such as buildings or cars, with no trees immediately around.
Drone arrival
You can follow the delivery progress on the Wolt App. When the drone arrives, please be sure to steer clear of the drone delivery zone, until the rope is unattached, and the drone flies away.
FAQ: Will the drone be filming me?
There are no video recordings captured during the flight. The drones have a low-resolution downward facing camera, which is used to ensure the delivery drop-off area is safe, and clear of any obstacles and people.
Robot Deliveries
General information
If robot deliveries are available in your area, you will get information on this on Wolt App, when placing an Order. In this case, the robot delivery has been preliminary as your delivery method, and you can opt out from the robot delivery by disabling the selection.
Please note that robot deliveries are always subject to availability. Even though you have chosen the robot delivery option, the Order may be delivered by a Courier Partner. Robots have weight and volume restrictions and may be unavailable due to weather conditions or other reasons. You will see the delivery method on the Wolt App, once the Order is being delivered.
Robot delivery method
Once the robot delivery has been selected as your delivery method, it will be automatically saved and applied to your future Orders unless you disable it. This means that robot delivery eligible venues may deliver your future Orders by robots, unless you disable this option in your Wolt App settings. Please note that the robot delivery may sometimes take a bit longer than the initial delivery time estimate.
Robot arrival
You can follow the delivery progress on the Wolt App. Please follow closely the instructions on Wolt App, on how to unlock the robot through the App, and whether you need to close the lid yourself. The robot will wait for you for 15 minutes after its arrival, before taking off.
