Gift Cards Terms and Conditions

The following Gift Card Terms and Conditions describe the terms and conditions that apply to use of the Wolt Gift Cards (the “Gift Cards”). These Gift Card Terms and Conditions are between you, the Gift Card holder, and Wolt, as detailed in the User Terms of Service. By purchasing, accepting, or using a Gift Card, you agree to both these terms and conditions (the “Gift Card Terms and Conditions”) and also the Wolt User Terms of Service (the “User Terms of Service”) (together, the “Terms and Conditions”). If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions, do not purchase, use, or accept the Gift Card.

You may cancel the purchase of a Gift Card that has not been redeemed by contacting Wolt support through the Wolt Service or via email (support@wolt.com), within 14 days of purchase in accordance with the applicable law and subject to cancellation terms detailed in the User Terms of Service. Please note that only the paying user may cancel the purchase of a Gift Card.

The Gift Cards are closed-loop gift cards; the Gift Cards are not debit or credit cards. The Gift Cards are issued by Wolt, however, it may assign its obligations with respect to the Gift Card at any time, in which case such assignee shall become the issuer and sole legal obligor to the Gift Card holder.

Wolt Oy and its subsidiaries and affiliates (the “Wolt Group Companies”) other than the local Wolt entity issuing the Gift Card bear no responsibility or liability for any Gift Cards, and you hereby knowingly release Wolt Group Companies from any and all liability or claims of any nature whatsoever arising in connection with the Gift Card. Furthermore, the extent of the local Wolt entity’s liability shall be as set out in these Gift Card Terms and Conditions.

You may redeem Gift Cards only towards any eligible order placed on wolt.com or through the Wolt mobile app (the “Wolt Platform”) from all suppliers offered by Wolt, as specified on the Wolt Platform from time to time.

Wolt reserves the right to change the way of redeeming Gift Cards and/or limit and/or change the eligible orders that can be made using Gift Cards at its sole discretion. Gift Cards shall be redeemed uniformly with respect to all suppliers from whom an order can be placed.

Gift Cards have a validity period of 12 months from the date of purchase, and must be redeemed within this period. Upon expiry of the 12-month period, the code to redeem the Gift Card shall expire and the Gift Card can no longer be redeemed, used for payment or reactivated, and any unredeemed value cannot be returned.

Gift Cards cannot be returned and are not redeemable for cash except to the extent required by applicable law. Gift Cards may not be resold. Gift Card amounts may not be increased or reloaded. When you make a purchase with a Gift Card that has a balance that is less than the total purchase price, the difference must be paid using another form of payment available in your account.

Gift Cards may be redeemed only in the country where purchased against its outstanding value during the entirety of its validity time (12 months). Upon redemption of a Gift Card, the value of the Gift Card is converted into electronic money, which remains available for use until the end of the validity time of the Gift Card.

After the Gift Card has expired, any funds that were redeemed to the user’s account within the Gift Card’s validity period, but remained unused at the time of expiry, shall be deemed expired. However, in accordance with applicable legislation, expired funds that were redeemed to electronic money may be redeemed to the user’s account upon request. Such request must be raised within one year of the expiration date of the redeemed, but unused, Gift Card funds. No interest is paid on unused Gift Card funds during its validity time nor after its expiration. The request for such redemption can be raised through support@wolt.com.

A Gift Card is valid only if obtained directly from the Wolt Service or from an authorized third-party distributor. A Gift Card is not valid and will not be honored, and Wolt or any Wolt Group Company will not be liable, if obtained from unauthorized sellers or resellers, including through Internet auction sites.

Lost, damaged or stolen Gift Cards will not be replaced or replenished. Wolt is not responsible for unauthorized Gift Card use. Wolt reserves the right to suspend the use or validity of a Gift Card if it finds reasonable grounds to suspect that the Gift Card is being used unlawfully or in breach of the Terms and Conditions.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF LAW WOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANYONE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY TYPE OR KIND IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH GIFT CARDS. WOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH GIFT CARDS, EVEN IF WOLT AND/OR ITS LICENSORS HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT GIFT CARD.

Disputes arising from these Gift Card Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by the competent courts of the country where the user is located. A consumer may, however, always institute proceedings in the competent court of its domicile. If you are a user domiciled in the EU, you and Wolt may also use the ODR platform managed by the European Commission to settle disputes. This platform can be found on ec.europa.eu/odr. You may also refer a dispute to the consumer disputes board or other corresponding out-of-court institution in your domicile (such as, by way of example, the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board, kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta, in Finland, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, coi.cz, in the Czech Republic or the Polish Permanent Amicable Consumer Court at the competent Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection, uokik.gov.pl, in Poland, the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution, www.adrcyprus.com, in Cyprus).

Wolt reserves the right to change these Gift Card Terms and Conditions from time to time in its discretion without special notice to you, unless such notice is required by Law. Notice of changes will be by reasonable means, which may be by email to the email address submitted to the Wolt Service by you, by posting of the revised version of these Gift Card Terms and Conditions on this website or on the Wolt Service (the “Updated Terms”). Your use of a Gift Card after Wolt has posted the Updated Terms or, if Wolt notifies you in advance by email, after the effective date communicated in that notice, constitutes your agreement to the Updated Terms. The Updated Terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or such later date as may be specified in the Updated Terms or, if Wolt notifies you in advance, the date communicated in that notice, and will apply to your use of a Gift Card from that point forward. The date of the last update to these Gift Card Terms and Conditions is indicated on this page, and any change in the date of these Gift Card Terms and Conditions shall constitute notice to you that the Gift Card Terms and Conditions have changed.
